Places to visit:
CATHEDRAL OF CUSCO (ADDITIONAL). – One of the wonderful constructions that we will find in the city of Cusco located in the main square also called (Aucaypata), in this place there are canvases of great value made by painters of different times, a beautiful altarpiece, also its respective pulpit.
QORICANCHA (Temple of the Sun) (ADDITIONAL). – (temple of the sun), sacred place dedicated to the sun and the Inca deities rainbow (kuychi), moon and stars (killa, chaska), lightning (illapa). In its esplanade it is said that there were golden animals in real size, currently in this place is the convent of Santo Domingo.
SAQSAYHUAMAN. –In this place we will appreciate the bastions in the form of zigzag, there were towers that are said to have been covered by gold plates, megalithic stones, and an impressive sample of Inca architecture, currently in this place every June 24 we celebrate the Inti Raymi (sun worship).
QENQO. – Enigmatic place, we will appreciate stone channels in the form of zigzag, place where it is said that sacrifices of llama or chicha were made in this would predict if the coming year Mother Nature would give us good fruits and maybe not, we will also see a mortuary room, and the intihuatana.
PUCAPUCARA. –Commonly known as a fortress, a place of surveillance, Pucapucara also called (red fortress), is composed of staircases, terraces and large walls, which surround this fortress.
TABOMACHAY. –It could have been a place dedicated to the rest of the Inca. This archaeological complex has aqueducts, water channels, and fountains dedicated to the cult of water.
THEME PARK OF SOUTH AMERICAN CAMELIDS / HANDS OF THE COMMUNITY. – Specialized center dedicated to the rescue and care of South American camelids and handicrafts, it is a cultural project that shows through a living museum of the Peruvian Andes, and also handicrafts made by the hands of the community with ancestral procedures of traditional Andean textiles.
